Inventory accumulations slammed into the LCD-panel and monitor markets in the second quarter, triggering a massive pileup as slowing end-user demand cascaded through the supply chain.
Initial damage reports are coming in now in the form of lower-earnings reports from panel manufacturers, but it will be several quarters before the final dollar figure is tallied.
