Austin, Texas--There are many trends affecting churches today and these same trends will present audiovisual manufacturers with a unique opportunity to strengthen their business as the church market continues to grow and evolve. There has been a major increase in contemporary services being offered nationwide as more of the country's churches make their way into the new technology era, and a higher importance is being put into acoustics and audio systems. A rapidly growing number of churches understand the importance of praise worship, music ministry and audiovisual equipment and have included it into their strategic imperatives. The rapid growth of audiovisual usage is not just about the deployment of technology in a market though; to the churches it is the new foundation on which they are building their message. With over 300,000 churches and houses of worship in the US, many of them are already heavy uses of audiovisual equipment. It is clear to see the opportunities and potential that this market presents to audio manufacturers, dealers, consultants and integrators.

After researching the house of worship market over the past year, TFCinfo has learned that many who approach this market do not understand its long sales cycles, committee-oriented decision-making procedures, proclivity to appoint volunteers as in-house experts, and faith-based language - and their sales are suffering because of it. The key to entering this market successfully is to learn where the churches needs differ from those in other segments, and to understand this market and appreciate the shift that is taking place. This is why TFCinfo is conducting the second installment of TFCinfo's House of Worship A/V Survey Series, TFCinfo House of Worship Audio/Sound Systems Study 2004.

Today's society lives in a fast-moving, content-rich, networked, modern world. Churchgoers expect the same from their church; it assures them that their church understands today's world (relevance) and is not stuck in the past. Yet many churches do not possess the knowledge or staff to be able to incorporate this important equipment needed into their facility or services. TFCinfo's survey on the use of audio equipment in American churches is designed to bridge the gap between manufacturers, dealers and churches. The report will provide significant insight through the eyes of church users and purchasers to help manufacturers, dealers, and installers understand the church market in areas such as:

§ What are the specific needs for the churches' audio equipment?

§ How does the church use of audio equipment differ from other uses and market segments?

§ What level of sophistication/knowledge do these users/purchasers have and need?

§ Are there any unmet product needs for churches?

§ What are the most important purchasing factors for audio equipment?

§ Where do purchasers get information about audio/sound systems?

§ Where do churches buy their equipment?

§ How often are they buying?

§ How much are churches willing to spend?

§ How old is their current system?

§ Who has influence over audio/sound system purchases within the house of worship?

§ What brands are familiar/considered for purchasing? What brands are currently being used?

§ ...& And much more!!!
