Austin, TX, October 26, 2006 - According to respondents in TFCinfo's latest market research study, 60% of churches are looking to purchase and expand upon their projection systems. With over 345,000 churches here in the US, this is a HUGE market for projector manufacturers.

For over four years TFCinfo has been studying the worship market, and has recently released findings from their latest report entitled "TFCinfo: The Use of Projectors in American Churches 2006."

TFCinfo knows that breaking into the house of worship (HOW) market is extremely difficult. Although the religious market is a large market, and growing rapidly, its long sales cycles, committee-oriented decision-making procedures, proclivity to appoint volunteers as in-house experts, and faith-based language often creates unusual pitfalls for those who approach this market as they would their other business markets.

That is why TFCinfo, in conjunction with Church Production Magazine, has conducted another installment of this exciting and important scientific market research. This research report will give manufacturers, dealers, and integrators the knowledge needed to effectively and successfully target this large market segment for projectors.

Sophisticated web interviews (approx. 20 minutes in length) were conducted among 900 people responsible for the A/V equipment in their churches. In this report TFCinfo not only analyzes the church market as a whole, but goes beyond to break the sample into various demographic groups. Research results are provided in total, by church size (seat size), and geographic location (Northeast, South, West, and Midwest). This allows companies to compare and contrast the preferences and purchasing of churches of varying sizes and in varying locations across the US.

"We conducted this research to assist manufacturers in better understanding this fast growing market, and these are the exact people that manufacturers need to hear from," stated Paul Martin, president of TFCinfo. "These interviewees are not just responsible for the A/V equipment at their church, 72% of them are also responsible for recommending future purchasing!"

One of the many interesting trends that this recurring study tracks is equipment brand preference and the importance with which churches view name brand during their purchase process. This research shows that more than half of all respondents (61%) said that brand was "extremely" or "very" important to them in their purchasing process. This means that manufacturers efforts to solidify the brand of their line to the House of Worship (HOW) marketplace can have a significant impact, but only if the manufacturers make a concerted effort to learn how to reach this unique market.

Surprisingly, some big business brands faired extremely well in areas of brand consideration and brands used. Some top tier winners from these areas include: Sony, Panasonic, Sanyo, Eiki, Canon, Epson, Sharp, and InFocus.

Not only is this research useful for those companies who are established in the House of Worship market, but also for those that might consider entering this unique and profitable market in the future. These churches need AV equipment and they have the buying power to purchase it. This 230+ page report describes the following areas in detail:

HOW Market Size
HOW Segmentation
HOW Unique Needs
Brand Preferences
How to Build Effective Communication and Advertising Strategies for the HOW Market
How to Sell and to Whom
Best Practices/Learn from the Mistakes of Others
