Austin, TEXAS- TFCinfo, a worldwide leader in AV market research, has published a new research report that will enable each display mount manufacturer to understand usage and trends in the core mount market, create targeted marketing initiatives, and grow their overall business.
The TFCinfo Flat Screen Display Mount Study 2006 provides significant insight into the display mount industry through the eyes of past and future purchasers, with a sample population of both corporate and home-use respondents.
This sophisticated survey answers the questions: where do your sales come from, why do customers buy, what do they want, why don't they buy, and what do manufacturers need to understand to create more sales.
The flat screen display mount category is in its growth stage, especially with regard to the entertainment market. As more and more businesses and homes incorporate the use of flat screen displays, the mount category will evolve with it. "Several years ago businesses bought the bulk of the display mount hardware solutions," states Paul Martin, president of TFCinfo, "while there was some anecdotal information on business users' wants and needs, there were no formal studies such as the TFCinfo Flat Screen Display Mount Study. In the ensuing years, while business users of mounts have grown in numbers, home entertainment users of mounts have grown even faster. Today, a majority of the flat panel mount buyers are a part of this new category of purchasers, and even less is known about this new segment that use mounts in their personal living spaces. These buyers have unique purchasing requirements that must be understood. TFCinfo is committed to help the AV industry by being first to study important AV buying segments. The TFCinfo Flat Screen Display Mount Study 2006 is the first and only formal multi-client study of display mount hardware and is an essential sales growth tool."
The highest rated reasons for choosing a flat screen display, regardless of the user group analyzed, are the ability to mount the display to a wall or ceiling, and saves space. Flat screen purchases are driving the need for mounts, and reducing floor usage is driving the mass interest in mounting flat screens on walls and ceilings. More than 90% of all respondents surveyed state they have or will consider a wall mount for their flat screen display!
The TFCinfo Flat Screen Display Mount Study 2006 compares and contrasts findings from four distinct groups: business users, entertainment users, past purchasers of flat screen display mounts and future purchasers. "It is interesting to see the differences in views between past purchasers and future purchasers, particularly with regard to important purchasing factors," states Tanya Lippke, TFCinfo Manager of Survey Market Research.
"Not only are end users looking at important purchasing factors of mounts, but they are also considering important attributes and brand reputations of the mount companies. End users know exactly what they want, and they want a lot. Therefore, to be able to see even the slightest shift in views in these areas is going to be of interest."
A sample of the questions that are answered in this exciting report include:
--What are the resources utilized to research mounts? I.e., where should mount companies advertise?
--What are the important purchasing factors of mounts (style, price, size, color, ease of installation, ease of use, compatibility, sturdy/strong etc)?
--Which mount brands are purchasers familiar with? Which brands do they consider for purchase?
--What are the important aspects of purchasing from a mount company (customer service, warranty, easy to understand directions, ease of ordering, on-time delivery, competitive prices, variety of choices, knowledgeable sales representative, etc.)?
--What mounting options and features are purchasers interested in most?
--At what price are purchasers willing to buy various flat screen display mount styles?
--Where are these display mounts purchased?
--When is the decision for a display mount made in relation to the flat screen decision? Are there any factors at that time that can have a direct affect on the purchase decision?
--How are, or will, these mounts be installed and how was the installation experience?
