TFCinfo Plasma Market Analysis Report has expanded its coverage of the US plasma market to include an analysis of plasma's position within the overall US consumer and professional advanced display markets.

With new technological developments, increasing production and declining price points, advanced displays of various technologies are becoming more significant in both the consumer and professional markets. For this reason, TFCinfo has expanded its efforts to capture the interaction of these technologies in the advanced display market.

In its 2Q'05 US Plasma Market Analysis Report TFCinfo showed that while LCD displays have come to dominate the 30-32 inch category for flat panels, Plasma displays continue to dominate both the consumer and professional US flat panel markets above 32 inches despite narrowing price premiums for comparable LCD displays. However, in total advanced displays sales flat panels continue to be surpassed by lower cost micro-chip projection displays.

TFCinfo analyzes a variety of sales, production, inventory and price data to help display market participants to measure the impact of the ongoing technology, production and price developments within the advanced display market place.

TFCinfo introduces Monthly US Professional Large Screen (>27") LCD/Plasma POS Report

With the growing presence of LCD panels in the US Professional large screen display market TFCinfo has introduced a monthly report that tracks both large LCD and Plasma display POS sales. This report allows Professional display market participants to track model level LCD and Plasma sales in the Professional market on a monthly basis. The report also provides a view of the interaction of LCD and PDP technologies in the Professional market that will assist display manufacturers in product planning as well as marketing strategies.

Paul Martin, President of TFCinfo, delivered two exciting presentations as part of Projection Summit at InfoComm this year in Las Vegas. Email Us to Receive a Free Copy of His Presentations.

As part of the ProAV Anlayst Debate Paul discussed value price front projectors in the Retail and Education Markets. Further examining sales trends for value priced SVGA and WVGA front projectors, Paul indicated that the space comprising the value projectors in retail will bifurcate into two distinct retail submarkets in 2005 and 2006 which he called the "value" models and the "value plus" models, increasing the diversification among value priced projector models as value markets mature to include value-priced XGA projectors. Paul discussed the strong role of value priced models in Retail and Education and described these markets and their trends.

As part of the Analyst Debate for the IT Channel Paul discussed projector brands in Large Corporations, Government and Education. Brand Equity is one of the strongest determinants of future revenue growth. Paul presented practical methods for measuring brand equity, and used highlight examples from TFCinfo's recent projector brand strength research.
